The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fairgrounds

[p]Project: The Fair is in the Air[/p]

[p]Role: Graphic Designer[/p]

[p]Date: October 2011, October 2012[/p]

[p]Details: Planning for the Fair begins well in advance of the event, and this project spanned a number of months. I worked with a developer to create a Facebook tab for the event, and with Jacksonville.com as they created a contest for the Fair. In the end, the complete campaign included a logo, poster, folder, billboard, brochure, promotional card, invitation, letterhead, custom Facebook tab, as well as print, web and point-of-purchase advertisements. The Florida Times-Union

[p]Project: Power Up Your Social Strategy (workshop)[/p]

[p]Role: Event Promotion Strategist, Graphic Designer[/p]

[p]Date: July 2011[/p]

[p]Details: This workshop was held by the Times-Union’s sales department in an effort to educate local business owners about strategies in social media, mobile marketing and local directory listings. In addition to being an educational opportunity, they offered packages of services related to these topics at special discounted rates. It was my job to generate the promotional copy for the event, develop the campaign creative elements (including print, web and e-mail advertisements), and manage online registrations for attendees. [p]Project: Web Ad Workshop: Real digital tools, made real simple.[/p]

[p]Role: Event Promotion Strategist, Graphic Designer[/p]

[p]Date: October 2010[/p]

[p]Details: This workshop was the first workshop of its kind held by the Times-Union’s sales department. The focus was to help local business owners get more noticed on the web by understanding how to use marketing applications, e-commerce activity and search engines to better understand their customers (and potential customers). The purpose was to educate small business owners, and they also offered packages of services related to these topics at special discounted rates. It was my job to generate the promotional copy for the event, develop the campaign creative elements (including print, web and e-mail advertisements), and manage online registrations for attendees. Savannah Morning News

[p]Details: After the success of the Power Up workshop held by the Times-Union, a sister newspaper — The Savannah Morning News — decided to hold their own. I worked with their marketing director to edit the campaign details for their event and brand it for Savannah Morning News. [/p]

[p]Details: I was responsible for the design of several issues of Advantage Magazine. I began with Advantage by building a number of their advertisements. [/p]

[p]Project: Taylor Residences Newsletter[/p]

[p]Date: October 2011 – January 2012[/p]

[p]Details: A local non-profit retirement community for low- to moderate-income seniors, Taylor Residences produces a quarterly newsletter for its residents. I was asked to redesign the newsletter to be more “cheerful” and the new look has gotten praise from both the residents and faculty. This was a side-project for Advantage Magazine.[/p]

[p]Details: SOMA Creative Group included me in their team effort to create the brand work and sales materials for several properties under development by the Carlisle Design Group. I assisted in the creation of brochures for each of the new properties.  [/p]

They offer coupons, discounts and brief articles on health, fitness, medicine, food, area charities and events. I was the graphic designer for the publication and its advertisements. [/p]
